Life is messy, but still beautiful was a stream-of-consciousness note to self turned poem. This poem sits atop a digital illustration to mirror and showcase the complexity and watercolor blend of one’s story, meant to inspire and encourage you today.

I wrote this after having a particularly challenging month where the winter-blues hit hard (which I dub as the “seasonal sadz”). This piece gave me the encouragement I needed to continue to press on, move forward, while still not minimizing the goodness, nor the hardship of life.
